If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life! This sentiment certainly rings true for Steve Eliasen. Steve reached out to us a few months ago, excited about the Gryphon brand and this new venture for himself. After chatting with Steve and meeting him, we were happy to collaborate and have him become part our Gryphon family as the Sales Manager for the Great Lakes region (US side). In Steve’s words: "I couldn't be more enthusiastic about the Gryphon line and the chance to bring this gear to so many motorcyclists as we move forward. The tagline is utterly true—'Style, Function, Protection’. I always seem to have a warm smile each time I suit up in my Blue Ridge, Tucson, Vancouver, or whichever jacket I'm wearing for the day's ride. I am so looking forward to meeting so many more enthusiasts in the weeks and months ahead.” Deeply threaded throughout Steve’s life has been the love of motorcycling. Beginning with a well-used 1965 Harley-Davidson (Aeromacchi) M50 at age 12. By age 16 Steve took part in his first international moto trip on a well-used Yamaha RD 250 with bald tires. No doubt there’s a few good stories from that trip! As we all know too well, once you’ve been bit by the motorcycling bug, you’ve got it for life. Steve took a deep dive into serious, full-immersion motorcycling life which brought him shoulder to shoulder with high-intensity riders of all flavors. Not being one to shy away from the next great adventure, Steve has had the opportunity to take part in all kinds of riding experiences including the California BDR, Trans-WI, Southern Utah, Western States, and Great Lakes circle tours. This has also left Steve with amassing quite a collection of motorcycles! Many, many road and dual sport bikes came and went over the years. And Steve is one of the lucky ones who was able to share his passion with his children and their friends, and a few others along the way.
